| Joe Prior is my name and at the I live in Derry,
Northern Ireland. I am originally from Carrick on Shannon in county leitrim,
Eire. I spent 11 years in London from '85 to '96 during which time I worked
as a scientific officer with the Health and Safety executive. In 1990 I
attended the interior design diploma course at Willesden college of Technology
. I graduated in 1992 and proceeded on to Chelsea College from which I
graduated in 1994 with a BA in Public Art and Design .
My time at Art college provided me with the opportunity to express my perception of colour, shape and form. I am attracted towards bimorphic shapes and autumnal colors and the abstract murals and sculptures I paint and construct reflect these attractions. Neolithic celtic patterns and designs from the Book of Kells are a source of reference. I am a keen photographer and my subjects include statues, buildings and landscapes.
